Viktoria Mullova distinguishes herself for her versatility and her broad-mindedness. This allowed her to explore new ways of merging music, leading to the creation of numerous projects in the jazz, world and gypsy music spheres. Stradivarius in Rio is the result of her journey through the works by different Brazilian composers and the collaboration of creative artists: Matthew Barley (Cello), João Luís Nogueira Pinto (guitar) and Paul Clarvis (percussions) .
“People have asked me why I have done a project that is quite different for me and recorded an album of Brazilian music. The answer is quite simple….I love this music.” Viktoria Mullova, 2014
